Flaws: Miraine has bronchitis, causing her throat to be increasingly sore after she sings. She is often irritable in the morning. and is slightly disliked for this reason. She gets sick easily, and misses school. People think that she is a skipper because of it. She is also rather shy, and doesn't talk much, making people think she doesn't want to talk to people.
Secrets/Habits: Although she loves Rock music, she enjoys musicals and christian music. She also writes short stories.
Where does your character live?: Miraine and her brother live by the wharf on Monterey Bay. She lives across from the Casino on Beach Street. They live in a small house located across the street from the bowling alley as well.

Appearance: Miraine has black hair which falls below her shoulder blades. Her hair falls in lovely, silky curls. She has a tanned complexion, and her features distinctly Indian. Her eyes are a dark brown that shine with compassion.
She has high cheekbones, but that seems to improve her appearance, or so her mother says. Her thin eyebrows slant over her eyes, giving her an exotic sort of look. She has a think upper lip, but a full lower one. She has a small nose and a slightly wide forehead. Miraine is slightly on the tall side, only a pinch taller than the normal height people. She is not super thin like some people, but has some little pudge. Although not busty, she is fine with her chest, and does not feel the need to show it off, like other girls seem to do.
Personality: Miraine truly is a nice girl. She is kind, and actually is rather sympathetic. This does not seem natural of a soon-to-be rock star, but it is how she is. She trusts many people, more people than she should, really. One way to describe her would be airheaded. She wants to be friends with most people, yet they seem to think she is odd, which makes Miraine sad.
Miraine is a shy girl who makes few friends. She'll do anything for a friend, even one who hurts her in the end. She is extremely loyal to her friends, even those who are not often seen with her. Although she despises preps, if they are going to get hurt, Miraine would help them, for she is not a cruel person.
History:
Miraine was born to Shane and Faye Edge. Shane came from England, graduating froma prestigious school there. He is rather proud of his son, but is very loving of his precious daughter. Miraine truly is a daddy's girl.
Faye was born in India. Starting out as a Hindu girl, she converted to Christianity via a missionary. Her life after converting was a hard one. She was abandoned by her family, and fled to France after much trials. It seems a hard feat during these times for a young woman, but through the missionaries, she accomplished this. She later moved to America, and lived with a loving family that were a part of the missionaries. They lived in Vinton, Virginia. But Faye later moved to California with Shane, whom she met and fell in love.
Miraine had a somewhat troubled life. Her father was loving, but often came home in rages. He did not hit her or Faye, but cursed and ran through the house in a rampage. This, however, was not the problem. Faye and Shane, as any married couple would do, fought. Over silly things, luckily. This feuds did not last long.
However, in Miraine's 7th grade year, Faye was killed in a driving accident. It was not Christian Faye's fault, however. The other driver was an alchoholic, and had been drunk that night. Miraine went through a period of depression. This was what caused Miraine to turn to music. Miraine found her solace in music, and she found that it helped her, and she was actually rather good at it. She has now recovered since her mother's death, and is happier now, but still plays the guitar and sings.

Roleplaying Sample:
Erm, I'm not sure if it has to be an example of roleplaying here. But right now, I don't have time to post one like that, so I'm going to use an old post, but a favorite one of mine.
Damalis snapped out of a reverie that he had seemed to be trapped in. The shout of the Urgal surprised him and his sword was quickly pulled from its emerald sheath. He cursed under his breath, in his seeming weakness of the moment. The tip of the blade cut his brown tunic, unbeknownst to him. His eyes glittered with determination. The beasts thought they could surprise the three and win? They were seriously wrong. With him there, along with an elf, he was positive they would win.
Damalis noticed an Urgal, who hadn't seen another warrior there, creep upon Fletaya. No way would the beast hurt the lovely maiden. Damalis carefully creeped up behind the Urgal, dodging the attacks that ran askew from the other battles. "Oh no you don't!" Damalis cried as he leaped into the air, to strike the horrid creature. It jumped in fright and barely guarded against the attack. Damalis withdrew the sword and swung around in a half-circle, slashing an open shoulder.
A blade cut through into his side. Damalis cried out in pain as blood dripped from the wound. Another Urgal has creeped upon him. "Brisingr!" Damalis cried. His lovely sword glowed with a bright, dark purple light. Damalis forced his sword upon the one Urgal and pushed to split the creature, killing it quickly. Damalis swung around to slash at the other, but found a blade tip placed at his throat, quivering there.
Damalis gulped, his mind racing. What could he do to free himself? His sword was of no use, he had a little reserve of magic left, not enough to damage the thing. His eyes darted to the other duels, sending out a mental plea for help. A thought popped in his head. His sorrel stood behind the Urgal in front of him, rearing wildly, the whites of his eyes rolling madly. He twisted his hands behind his back, making a clopping sound, his sword falling to the ground.
The gelding responded instantly. He fell to the ground with a shake of the ground and started forward, trampling the Urgal. Damalis picked his sword and cut the head of the beast, just to make sure. He looked around and saw no more Urgals, however, he could be wrong. He gasped as the shock of the pain hit him as he collapsed to the rocky soil. He placed a rough hand over the wound and murmured. "Waíse heill..." He murmured. The wound sealed up as Damalis's eyes closed, exhausted from the use of magic.
